Hi,
I’M ATIRA.
From the brothels of Nepal to refugee camps in Burma to the Amazonian jungles of Peru, I’ve spent the last 19 years supporting thousands of trauma survivors, including women and children who have experienced child sex slavery through my passion for activism with my charity, Art to Healing.
I’m on a mission to create safer spaces in our bodies and out in the world, through educating facilitators, teachers, and in group & individual therapy through the somatic, creative, and innovative heart-centered trauma recovery approaches.

TESTIMONIALS…
“My experience with Atira has been absolutely transformational. After years of struggling as a survivor, I had many breakthroughs that I'd never had in traditional talk-therapy, nor even had a therapist understand what I was truly going through until I started working with Atira. Atira holds such a safe space, and is highly skilled in the areas of childhood trauma, somatic experiencing, and attachment.”
- Sharon Deep Kaur, Feminine Embodiment Coach, London
“Atira is a true inspiration and contribution to the world and its people. She holds a strong power with incredible capacity and conveys her power in such a soft and gentle way that enables her clients to connect to their vulnerability with utmost safety. I can only highly recommend her to everyone.”"
- Nina Cejnar, Coach & Social Entrepreneur, Germany
“Atira has unique skills of somatic attunment in holding the most profound vulnerability within absolute safety. I was able to uncover the source of my inner conflicts which I was unaware of and led me to a place of recognition, acceptance and peace. Atira’s compassion and empathy were present in every word, action and touch. I am grateful for the insight and sense of completeness I gained working with her.”
- Howard Sonenklar, Professor of Movement and Theatre, Portugal
“If you are ready to engage in serious trauma healing work, Atira is the practitioner to go for. Her genuine humanness is lived and embodied, and her outstandingly compassionate nature creates a strong and safe therapeutic container that cannot be surpassed. After a search for decades for the right trauma therapist, all thumbs up for Atira. The healing and transformation I’ve been looking for has finally become real!”
- Jessica Bertram, Eco-Tour Guide, Germany
“Atira is a rare gem of a teacher that embodies her practices with a depth and knowledge that overflows into the TIY training. Full of compassion, Atira holds an impeccable space both within and around theory and experiential practices. Being able to learn and embody the techniques of Trauma Informed Yoga has been a personal and professional revelation. I cannot recommend trainings with Atira highly enough.”
- Dominic Hatcher, Teacher, Healer, Ceremonialist, United Kingdom
“This trauma-informed program is, hands down, one of the most effective, thorough, and beautifully executed online training experiences I’ve have had the honor of participating in. Witnessing Atira hold the container for this training was a true gift of transmission of trauma-informed facilitation, and by the end I felt like I had experienced my own personal healing in addition to gaining important knowledge and perspective."
- Kendall Hinkley, Licensed Massage Therapist, USA
