Expressive Arts & Somatic Experiencing Trauma Therapist

For the past fifteen years, Atira has been guiding people on their life path through her powerful blend of Expressive Art Therapy, transpersonal counseling, Somatic Experiencing, yoga and empowered feminine life and leadership coaching.

Her training in these modalities include a Grad. Diploma of Transpersonal Art Therapy from the Phoenix Institute of Victoria, a Grad. Diploma in Holistic Counselling from the Australian College of Natural Medicine, a Masters of Clinical Art Therapy from Latrobe University and is a Somatic Experiencing Practitioner (SEP). She also has a Cert IV in Workplace Training and Assessment, and has worked as an educator at VET level, teaching Transpersonal Art Therapy in Melbourne.

Atira is a professional member of ACATA & ANZATA.

Her work as a coach, facilitator, and consultant works to empowers her clients to explore what they know and how they know, rather than traditional advice-based counseling.

In a broader context, Atira specializes in bridging the gap between cross cultures in art therapy, counseling and somatic trauma healing. To this end Atira and has set up and delivered numerous art therapy, yoga and counseling programs, training non-government and government staff, in both clinical and educational settings. She uses art, yoga, somatic experiencing, women’s reproductive health and counseling skills with trauma, particularly in the field of sex trafficking, exploitation and abuse, in both cities and remote locations around Asia and outback Australia.
